install for Windows
- Install:The Windows edition of GotoHTTP is a portable application, there is no installation process required. Please download the 64bit or 32bit edition of the package(.zip format) according to your system, and extract it to a directory(Must NOT extract it to System directory), go to the directory and double-click 'GotoHTTP.exe"(GotoHTTP_x64.exe for 64BIT) to start the program. You will see the Computer Id and Access Code. If you are not sure of your system type, you may download 32bit edition, it will always work, but it's better to use 64bit GotoHTTP on 64bit Windows. You may also find a download link 'ARM64’ on the rightmost side. That is for Windows on ARM64 architecture, unless you know your CPU is ARM64, or please don't download it. So far, Windows are almost on x64(64bit) or x86(32bit) architecture.
Although GotoHTTP is portable software,we do not recommend to put the executable file on desktop. That because GotoHTTP will create config file in the same directory. It's better to put the file in other folder , then create a shortcut for it on desktop. To create the shortcut, right-clicking the GotoHTTP executable file name, select "Send to"->"Desktop(create shortcut)"。If you run GotoHTTP by double-clicking program file in decompression software, the config file will be created in temp folder and may be removed by system automatically.
For Windows 10, you can also install GotoHTTP in Microsoft Store by searching 'GotoHTTP'. But version in the store is maybe lagged.
GotoHTTP will create a config file named 'gotohttp.ini' in the GotoHTTP directory,do not remove it,or it will create it again , the Access Code and other configuration will changed to default.
- Uninstall:As mentioned above, GotoHTTP is portable software. Except that a config file named 'gotohttp.ini' will generated automatically in directory of GotoHTTP,nothing is left on your computer。If you no longer want to use it, just exit program and remove the files.
If it's installed from Microsoft Store, please right-click the program icon and choose 'Uninstall', and the config file is located in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\GotoHTTP" - Upgrade:Please exit program first, then overwrite the program file with new one; if installed from Microsoft Store, please follow the instruction in the Store.
